Rock 'N India 2008: The Event
March 14th 2008 ventured the first ever Music festival in india in a carnival style environment and set-up. A concept that will be recorded in the books of time, RC Rock 'N India staged the performance of 9 rock bands which includes the iconic international bands like Megadeth and Machine h\Head among others. To add to the massiveness of the event, the two-stage set-up and the carnival area were an added delight to the rock fans in India. In the history of Indian rock music never before have fans got to enjoy more than nine hours of non-stop live rock performance.
RC Rock 'N India had the perfect concoction for a Music festival with the concert and the carnival activities happening simultaneously. The concert took place on two different stages allowing the performers to deliver non-stop rock music while the fans relished in the non-stop music galore.
The concert area had numerous food stalls, official RC Rock 'N India merchandise stall, and 4 royal challenge bars stationed in and around the carnival area. Apart from this, the main fun dwellers' area was the bungee jumping. People screamed with madness after experiencing bungee jumping and were in a frenzy to get back and enjoy the concert.
The 9 bands that performed at RC Rock 'N India included both indian as well as international bands - Megadeth, Machine Head, Pentagram, Mother Jane, Prestorika, Millennium, Thermal & a Quarter, Junkyard Groove and Casino Blues. It was a treat to the rock fans to have such prominent bands play live consecutively.
